SW surprise at a Secret Spot - Morocco April -

Yes!

There are these days full of anticipation. Forecast said Wind from the south south west for Morocco, which happens not many times a year. And if, it is connected with lots of rain. 

But this April we was lucky. No rain, only wind. At least in the area we stayed.

 

So, time to hit the road moving further north along the Argancoastline.

 leaving "Surfers Paradise" to check out the "Windcity Africa". 

 Stop over in Sidi Kaouki to say hello to the team of surfandaction. 

After 4 month without any windsurf dudes, I was so happy to meet the guys again and got some windsurf spirits. 

Wow...how much I was missing this...

people, who understand why going crazy, if there is some wind, why making everything possible, just to be in the right time at the right place...

Wonderful feeling...it motivated me sooo much! 

And the SW already showing up with the sunset.

 

 Early raindrops on the roof of my caravan let me wake up...but having a look out of the window show me already sunlights and slightly the wind streaked along my home.

Great, just not enough wind for my small lady...let´s wait and see...

 

And because I am a happy and lucky girl, some moroccan friends made me more happy and borrow me a board with more volume than mine...so I got the chance to taste the SW, with low low low wind the first day, at Essaouira. 

Getting ready for the next day, which supposed to be the better one.

 

 Check my sleeping place, went to bed early and dreamed about wind from the left side ;-)

Already becoming a little Jeep, here the road ended for my caravan.

 Since three years I visit this Event of SurfandAction in April here in Morocco. 

And every year again, I am surprised and happy, that this company finds people coming to this amazing peace of morocco and making it possible to reach incredible places to windsurf! 

Thank you guys for arranging great windsurftrips and giving the possibility to enjoy wind & waves for participants, trainer & locals!!!

Just rigging... happy to be at the best spot of this day.

The wind still was not becoming very strong. 

4.6 sail and 60l was my choice, it was at the limit...but working.

 Such a relaxed windsurfing, if the wind is showing up from the adapted side. 

For my flavour a touch to side on but was huge fun in the water! 

Easy soft waves and wind on the edge of floating...more or less...enough to find some waves.
Well during the end of the session it droped...even hard for waterstarts...

  After haven´t sailed long times, it is always a pitty that the body strikes before the mind is tired about riding waves and beeing on the water.

 

 

Final round...

Not beeing alone any more during my adventures, something I still have to get used to ;-) 

Specially in times of windsurfing it is not easy to arrange life together. 

The more I am thankful for your support and growing understanding Hicham!

Sidi Kaouki over the LIMIT

I was sure it will be a hard session.

 Waiting all day that the tide is comin in and the waves become more rideable, just the wind didn´t drop in the evening like I expected. 

But let this day pass by was no option...at least I needed a try. 

Little worried about my back, which discovered  an injury during my last windsurfsession two weeks ago, I go as much as possible with attention of safety. 

All went out well but surfing this condition of 43kts with my 3.9 sail was way much too overpowered and out of any control.

Passing the lines was no problem, enough power...

Hardly made some timing with the waves and the atomic wind let me just flying down the line.

Outside the ocean was wild like I never seen before.

Me, every second fully concentrated.

Couldn´t manage any manoeuver outside well to time waves, so I was sad to dismiss some nice sets.

Anyway, happy and satisfied to finish my session without further muscel hurts and enjoyed some atomic Wavesailing this May 2017 in Morocco Sidi Kaouki. 

And looking forward to upgrade my sailrange soon to enjoy days like this more!
